Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, consistently making massive paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly going ahead.
